Dalevant

if you found this page, you're probably the woman this was built for. your days are long before they're over. the loungewear that fit right when you bought it pills within a few washes, stretches out at the cuffs, stops looking like anything. the waistband loses its grip. the color fades faster than it should. you size up for comfort and lose the structure, or size down for structure and lose the comfort. you spend more and still feel like you're settling for something that won't make it through the season. the hijabs aren't better. jersey curls at the edges and loses its shape a few washes in. the underscarf shifts separately from the outer layer, so you can feel it move and can't fix it without redoing the whole thing. two layers trap heat at the neck and hairline by midday, especially somewhere like florida, where there's no season that lets you forget about it. the tie sits too tight and starts giving you a headache by afternoon, or too loose and you're readjusting all day. the seam sits right behind your ear and starts digging in after a few hours, small enough that no one else notices, big enough that you do. and some mornings there's no time to wrap anything at all, so you reach for whatever's fastest and wear it anyway, even when it's not really right. none of it is really about one piece. it's the pattern. paying more and still getting less. buying based on how something looks in a photo and finding out, hours into wearing it, that it was never built for an actual day. dalevant exists because of that. a heavier cotton, the kind that doesn't go thin or flimsy no matter how many times it's washed. a hijab system, undercap, curved end, and an instant triangle for the mornings that don't allow for anything else. the seam moved from where it used to dig in. the tie adjusts so it doesn't have to choose between too tight and too loose. the fabric changed where the heat used to build up. sampling carefully, testing fabric, fit, and weight until it's actually right. if it doesn't pass me, it doesn't get passed to you. you found this before launch. stay close. dalevant, rula

A HIJAB SHOULDN'T ASK YOU TO THINK ABOUT IT ALL DAY

we looked at what actually happens over the course of a day. heat building under fabric. an undercap that feels like a second layer instead of support. hair slipping loose by noon. tension at the temples by mid afternoon.

so we built the system around that, not around how it photographs.

What Makes Us Different

Designed around what you actually feel.

we started with the small frustrations. too hot by midday. fabric bunching at the neck. hair slipping out by noon. undercaps that feel like a second job.

so we designed around those, not around a mood board.

lighter, smoother, easier to wear. breathable fabric, real coverage, without carrying more than you need.

comfort shouldn't cost you coverage. coverage shouldn't cost you comfort. that's really it.

less adjusting. less bulk. more room to think about anything other than what you're wearing.

We looked at the small frustrations that become part of wearing hijab every day feeling too hot, bulky fabric around the neck, hair slipping out, undercaps that feel heavy, and constantly stopping to readjust.

Then we designed around them.

Our hijabs and undercaps are created to feel lighter, smoother, and easier to wear with breathable fabrics, thoughtful coverage, and less unnecessary bulk.

Because comfort shouldn't mean compromising coverage.
And coverage shouldn't mean carrying more fabric than you need.

Less adjusting. Less bulk. More ease.

So you can put it on, move through your day, and think about everything else.

lyocell modal jersey

yocell is wood based, smooth and breathable, holds moisture well so it doesn't sit heavy against you.

modal comes from beechwood too, but softer, more fluid. it's what makes the fabric fall right against your hair, face, and neck instead of sitting stiff.

a small amount of spandex gives the jersey stretch without losing shape over time.

knitted into a lightweight jersey, the blend sits soft against the scalp and moves with you. no bulk, no fighting the fabric. it air dries on its own and keeps that same softness wash after wash.
