dalevant.
if you found this page, you're probably the woman this was built for.
your days are long before they're over. the loungewear that fit right when you bought it pills within a few washes, stretches out at the cuffs, stops looking like anything. you size up for comfort and lose the structure. you spend more and still feel like you're settling for something that won't last the season.
the hijabs aren't better. the underscarf shifts separately from the outer layer, so you can feel it move and can't fix it without redoing the whole thing. two layers trap heat at the neck and hairline by midday. the seam sits right behind your ear and starts digging in after a few hours, small enough that no one else notices, big enough that you do.
dalevant exists because of that. not adapted from somewhere else.
a heavier cotton, the kind that doesn't go thin or flimsy no matter how many times it's washed. a hijab system, undercap and outer layer, construction adjusted specifically where the seams used to sit wrong, fabric changed where the heat used to build up.
we're still early. sampling carefully, testing fabric, fit, and weight until it's actually right. if it doesn't pass me, it doesn't get passed to you.
you found this before launch. stay close.

Built for wearing.
not for looking at. not for photographing once.
We're still early, still getting the fabrics right, testing the fit, making sure everything holds up before it goes out.
